United States Youth Soccer
of Nevada Scholarships

United States Youth Soccer of Nevada has received a $15,000 grant through the City Of Las Vegas. CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) is a public service program and will be used to help mid-to-low-income soccer families. Our program is called “Hat Trick” and is set up to assist youth soccer players, ages 4-18. We have three components that this grant will cover:

  • A series of free soccer camps
  • Olympic Development Program
  • Youth referee program

Any school-age youth who lives in the city of Las Vegas can apply for assistance. The free soccer camps are open to all school-age youth in the Las Vegas area (Las Vegas, NLV, Henderson County and surrounding areas).

Free soccer camps will be held throughout the year and posted on our website at www.usysnv.net.

The US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program, or “ODP,” as it is sometimes referred to, is a national identification and development program for high-level players. This program identifies and develops youth players throughout the country to represent their state association, region and the United States in soccer competition. Youth soccer referee program- Grade 9: This is an eight-hour course intended as a review of the Laws of the Game for youths who want to enter refereeing at a lower level of intensity. Graduates who also pass the 50-question exam are eligible to work recreational matches as the referee and/or assistant referee, up to U-14. Grade-9 referees are also eligible to work competitive matches as an assistant referee only up to U-14. Eligible youth ages 14-18 can receive funding to pay for certification and funds to purchase uniform and equipment needed to start refereeing.
